Rupert Cousins started work in the insurance industry in 1988 at Syndicate 506 in Lloyd's where began as a North American Property Underwriter. Having always worked on the property account, Rupert joined AXIS when the company was formed in 2001.

Jonathan Marshall has worked in the insurance industry for 12 years gaining experience in both the Lloyd's and company markets. Having first started work at Brockbank Syndicate in 1994, where he was introduced to the property account, he continues to work on this class of business today. After moving to Ace in 2000, he started work at AXIS just after formation of the company in 2001.

Patrick joined AXIS January 2002. He has over 20 years of commercial property insurance and reinsurance underwriting experience. Prior to joining AXIS, he was Managing Underwriter for Liberty Mutual Property Group in New York. He began his commercial property insurance career as an underwriter for Industrial Risk Insurers in New York specializing in highly protected risks. Patrick is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University, and completed graduate coursework at the City University of New York and the College of Insurance respectively. In 1994, he earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation.

Daniel Walsh joined AXIS in April 2002 as an Underwriter, located in our Dublin office. Through our Dublin office we write many of our specialty classes of business including Property, Onshore and Offshore Energy, Marine, Aviation, Political Risk including Terrorism, and Professional Lines classes of business. Daniel is CII qualified and has over 13 years experience in the insurance market. He began his career with the Generali in 1994, and then moved to ACE in 1999 where he worked until coming to AXIS.

Michelle Griffin joined AXIS in Dublin in June 2004 as Junior Underwriting Assistant. She assists underwriters with a cross class of business with particular emphasis on property and energy. In January 2006, she became an Underwriting Assistant, Prior to joining AXIS, Michelle achieved an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree at International Insurance and European Studies in the University of Limerick, Ireland, and is one exam away from being ACII qualified.

Paul McNulty joined AXIS in 2007 as an Underwriting Assistant after attaining his Honours degree from the International Insurance and European Studies (Spanish), following a four-year degree in Insurance related subjects and a final year project on Environmental Liability Regimes in Europe.
