Cliff Easton has over 32 years of insurance industry experience, commencing his career at the H.J. Brasier Marine Syndicate at Lloyd’s, and then preceding to M.R. Baxter Syndicates as an Assistant Underwriter. He later was an Inaugural Partner, Marine and Energy Division Head, for Hiscox Syndicates. He was also elected to serve on the London Market Rig and Associated Business Committee, and he has assisted the London insurance community by participating in various Working Parties.

Gemma Oakes joined AXIS in 2003 after graduating with a 1st class BSc (Hons) in Banking and International Finance from the Cass Business School, including major topics in derivatives, forecasting, and banking law. As well as being involved in onshore and offshore energy, Gemma has attended site visits, conferences and courses on both upstream and downstream subject matter including attending the PETEX “Rig School” in 2004.

Daniel Walsh joined AXIS in April 2002 as an Underwriter, located in our Dublin office. Through our Dublin office we write many of our specialty classes of business including Property, Onshore and Offshore Energy, Marine, Aviation, Political Risk including Terrorism, and Professional Lines classes of business. Daniel is CII qualified and has over 13 years experience in the insurance market. He began his career with the Generali in 1994, and then moved to ACE in 1999 where he worked until coming to AXIS.
