Richard Strachan
|
 Richard has been Chief Claims Officer for AXIS Group since 2002. He also serves as Chief Operating Officer for AXIS Insurance responsible for insurance Claims, Operations, Finance, Actuarial, Marketing and IT functions. Based in Bermuda, he is a member of the AXIS Executive Committee and the AXIS Insurance Board. He is Chairman of the Group Reserving Committee and also chair of the Actuarial Coordination Group. Richard has over 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Prior to joining AXIS, he managed claims for Syndicates 488 and 2488 at Lloyd's from 1985 to 1997, initially with Charman Underwriting Agencies and then subsequently at Tarquin PLC. Following the acquisition of Tarquin PLC by ACE Ltd, he served as Claims Team Leader for ACE Global Markets. |
