The AXIS Global Insurance team at AXIS Capital consists of underwriting operations in Dublin, Bermuda and London. This simple network in conjunction with our web-based submission system Submit.AXIS, unparalleled within the industry, has provided the platform to create a unique franchise within the global industry. This is equally strong across the broking community and amongst the client base we serve.
Business through intermediaries is submitted to us through our proprietary website submit.AXIS. This technology platform allows a rapid assessment/review by our underwriters in Bermuda, Dublin and London. Our underwriters will evaluate the submission and will make a determination on participation normally within 24 hours. In tandem with our unique operating structure we have developed a blend of skill sets that allow us to extract the optimum performance from our extraordinary team. We have high level leadership expertise within every class of business with which we are involved. The team has an average industry experience in excess of 15 years but an average age of only 35. We write a broad spread of specialty lines business committing lines of up to $100m dependant of class- our principal involvements include:- Specialty Risks (includes Terrorism, Marine and Aviation war risk and Political risk). Onshore & Offshore Energy, Aviation & Aerospace, Commercial Property and Marine (including Recreational Marine). We have created exceptional product diversity which coupled with strong geographic variation has reduced our reliance upon reinsurance. We also have a leading claims team led by Richard Strachan our Chief Claims Officer who support the AXIS Global Insurance team and work with intermediaries and clients to ensure settlement of all valid claims. We are assisted in this regards by the major claims adjusting resources our outsource partner Xchanging Limited. By blending all of the above we have created an environment where we are able to understand and anticipate the needs of our client base. Solutions are consequently provided quickly and effectively. |
