Gerald A. Dupre
Executive Vice President
Gerald Dupre has over 30 years of insurance underwriting experience. In August 2009, he was chosen to establish and lead AXIS Risk Management Property, a new unit dedicated specifically to shared and layered property business written in the U.S. He manages a team of experienced underwriters centralized in New York City that work with retail brokers nationwide to meet the property coverage needs of Fortune 1,000 companies and other large accounts. Before being named to this new position, Gerald had served as Executive Vice President of AXIS Insurance’s E&S Property unit for two years, responsible for wholesale commercial property insurance operations in Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles. He joined AXIS in 2005 as Senior Vice President, E&S Property in the Atlanta office. Previously, he had been Vice President of Property at Allianz Global Risk U.S. in New York, where had responsibility for the company’s U.S.-based portfolio of national, global and reverse flow property business written across four regional offices. He also formerly held underwriting and underwriting management positions at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and the Home Insurance Company. Gerald began his career at St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company as a multilines underwriter. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Dillard University in New Orleans.
Patrick H. Mulhall, CPCU
Senior Vice President
Patrick Mulhall has been with AXIS since January 2002 and has over 25 years of insurance/reinsurance experience. Prior to the formation of the AXIS Risk Management Property unit in New York, he had been Senior Vice President of Global Property for AXIS Insurance in Bermuda. Patrick also previously was a Vice President within AXIS Insurance’s U.S. Property unit, where he developed and managed retail business for the Northeast Region. Prior to joining AXIS, he served as Managing Underwriter for Liberty Mutual Property Group in New York. He formerly held underwriting positions at Aetna and St. Paul Fire & Marine. Patrick began his commercial property insurance career as an underwriter for Industrial Risk Insurers in New York specializing in highly protected risks. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Connecticut State University, and he completed graduate coursework at the City University of New York and the College of Insurance respectively. Patrick earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation in 1994.
Rajiv Jain, MSFPM, ARM, PE
Vice President
Rajiv Jain became part of the AXIS Risk Management Property team in late 2009. Over the past 20 years, he has acquired a broad array of property expertise ranging from insurance and reinsurance underwriting to broking and loss control engineering. Most recently, he served as Assistant Vice President, Underwriting for SCOR Re USA responsible for Midwest property business. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Team Leader for the Property & International Practice at Marsh USA in New York, where he designed, marketed and serviced global property programs for domestic and multinational clients. Rajiv began his career at FM Global as a fire protection consultant and later worked in underwriting as an Account Manager handling the global property protection needs of Fortune 1,000 companies. He also previously held positions at Kemper Insurance and Hartford Re. Rajiv earned an MBA from the University of Rochester, NY, as well as an M.S. in Fire Protection from Polytechnic University, City University of New York and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY. He holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) professional designation, and he is a Certified Protection Specialist (CFPS) and Professional Engineer (PE).
Mark J. Baroni
Vice President
Mark Baroni joined AXIS in July 2002. He has strong relationships with retail producers having served as Assistant Vice President in the Northeast Region of AXIS U.S. Property before taking on his new role and helping to establish AXIS Risk Management Property. Mark has over 12 years of large account commercial property insurance and reinsurance experience. He began his commercial property insurance career at the St. Paul Companies in Hartford, CT, in 1997 and had various property underwriting responsibilities during his tenure there. Mark attended Central Connecticut State University.
